The shot-stopper took matters into his own hands to snatch a vital point for his side in Saturday night's La Liga clash.

Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou also known as Bono, became an instant internet sensation after emerging as his side's hero in Saturday's league encounter with Real Valladolid. The 29-year-old Moroccan shotstopper vacated his post in goal and went on to score a stunning late equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw for Los Nervionenses.

Sevilla travelled to the Jose Zorrilla with the hope of bridging the gap between them and the other La Liga title contenders Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona. However, they were forced to contend on a back foot after conceding the game's opener from a spot-kick right before half-time.

Up until the dying embers of the game, Valladolid looked to be on the cusp of victory through Fabian Orellana's strike, but ended up being denied a party by a rather odd customer. It was none other than Bono who, after going up for the last corner of the game, had the ball right at his feet following a brief scramble. The Moroccan international did not hesitate, swinging his left foot at it to restore parity before removing his jersey and reeling off to celebrate with the Sevilla bench.

He joined Eibar's Marko Dmitrovic as the second goalkeeper to score in La Liga this season. Watch the game's highligh and Bono's last-gasp strike below:

With the goal, Sevilla cut down the point difference between them and league leaders Atletico Madrid to eight. The pair are scheduled for a showdown at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium after the international break.
