The competition keeps heating up after the first games for each squad. Which teams will get to Matchday 3 with their options still alive?

The battle for two places in the 2020 Olympic Soccer Tournament for CONCACAF has already started, and teams now know what kind of opponents they will have to beat if they want to make the trip to Tokyo next fall.

The tournament kicked off on Thursday with the activity involving Mexico and the USMNT. One day later, Honduras and Canada made their debut in the tournament facing Haiti and El Salvador. With their wins on Thursday, Mexico and the USMNT call the shots in Group A, while in Group B, Honduras and Canada seem to have the upper hand in Group B.

Matchday 2 will kick off on Sunday with the games between the United States and Costa Rica. The stellar match will feature Jaime Lozano's Mexican Team against the combative Costa Rican side, who will be forced to win or draw the game to keep their options open.

The remaining games will be played on Monday, with Haití facing Canada and Honduras trying to add one more win to their tally when they play against El Salvador. Both teams will surely be quite interested in adding more goals to their records, just in case they have to decide the top spot of the group via goal average.
