Grenada midfielder Craig Rocastle is likely to miss Friday's clash against Honduras after being sidelined with an injury.
Grenada's Gold Cup campaign started in disappointment as they were thrashed 4-0 by Jamaica last weekend. Now, things have certainly gotten worse for them as Craig Rocastle is set to miss their next encounter against Honduras.

Rocastle picked up an injury in their defeat to Honduras and the player himself stated that while the injury is likely to prevent him from playing this Friday, he hopes to be able to feature in their third match against Guatemala next week.

"I woke up this morning and there's a bit of improvement," he said. "The swelling has been managed well with all the ice and the stuff that I've been getting treated with, and I wouldn't say I was out. Not too sure on the possibility of playing the next game, but maybe the last game.

Even Grenada's coach Michael Adam isn't too sure about Rocastle's chances of making the cut against Honduras.

"I have to see the extent of the damage. The player himself obviously wants to play. I'm not optimistic for the Honduras game, but we'll see. Hopefully if the indications are that things have eased up a bit if we think there's not too much damage then we can look for a return for the Guatemala game," Adams said.

"But we'll just have to monitor over the next 24 hours. Normally the first 48 hours are the crucial time for assessing an injury like that so as soon as we have a better understanding of that assessment we'll know whether he'll be in the squad for Friday, can be in the Guatemala game or whether he's going to make it at all."
