ESPN+ new studio show Futbol Americas hosted by Herculez Gomez and Sebastian Salazar premieres on March 8 exclusively on the service.

The show will beam a light on the world of soccer, specifically focusing on the players in the U.S. men’s national team and the Mexican national soccer team throughout both the international and club seasons.

Former USMNT player Herculez Gomez and ESPN host, reporter and play-by-play announcer Sebastian Salazar will host the show, with new episodes on ESPN+ Mondays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. ET and on-demand thereafter.

Futbol Americas will feature regular guest appearances from newsworthy characters in the CONCACAF realm. Gomez and Salazar will be joined by USMNT and RB Leipzig star Tyler Adams in the first episode.

Salazar joins the show after five years working at ESPN as a host, reporter and play-by-play commentator. You might recognize him from his regular appearances on ESPNFC as well as the network’s Major League Soccer coverage. Salazar is eager to get started in his new project.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to be part of Futbol Americas. From Pulisic, to Alphonso Davies, to Raul Jimenez… MLS to Liga MX, USMNT and El Tri. Our game, our stars, our way,” Salazar said. “Soccer has always been my true love, so to be able to host a show where we debate not just the sport I care about most, but the specific players, teams and issues we are most passionate about is a real dream come true.”

On the other hand, Gomez joins the show with over four years of experience at ESPN after retiring from professional soccer. The 17-year veteran of Liga MX and MLS served as a studio analyst on ESPN’s English and Spanish-language networks since 2017.
