They might have been outclassed two years ago in Rome, but Nani believes that Man United will use that disappointment to bounce back against Barca at Wembley.
28th of May will be the date where Manchester United get a clear shot of revenge at Barcelona for what they caused at Rome in 2009. Pep Guardiola's men were the more spectacular team on that day as Barcelona beat United 2-0 to lift the Champions League trophy.
Two years on, things have certainly evolved to a standard as far as Manchester United are concerned. They have lost key players but the strength within the team and the bond among the players has emerged to a whole new level. And for that reason only, Nani believes that whatever heartbreak they suffered in 2009 will now be their prime motivator ahead of the clash at Wembley,
"The defeat against Barcelona in Rome hurt us so much and the whole team is very motivated this time."
Barcelona will be having majority of the possession like they often do but Nani believes that closing down to retain the ball control will be the key element for United.
"Nobody likes running after the ball, it's very difficult. What we have to do is to try and steal the ball from them as soon as possible. This is the only way for us to score and to avoid them scoring against us, that's clear."
