Tottenham Hotspur will be chasing their first win in four Premier League outings when they welcome West Brom to the Tottenham Stadium on Sunday.

Match preview

Tottenham Hotspur will host West Bromwich Albion at the Tottenham Stadium on Sunday as they look to return to winning ways in the English Premier League. Pressure is gradually piling on the North London club who have recorded three successive losses in a space of seven days - an unwanted feat that never existed in the books of manager Jose Mourinho until now.

Barely a week ago, the Whites were put to the sword by defending champions Liverpool, suffering a 3-1 defeat at home. This was followed by a shock 1-0 loss in an away trip to Brighton before Chelsea replicated the same result four days later to record successive wins under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

But Jose Mourinho has since demanded a response from his men, having picked up three successive home defeats for the first time in his managerial career due to the recent results. On Sunday, his side will enter the meeting with Tottenham Hotspur with just two league wins since the turn of the calendar. They lost three and drew one within the period, and currently sit in ninth position with 33 points - 14 points behind leaders Manchester City.

While they may be virtually out of the Premier League title race, Spurs will see the arrival of West Brom as a chance to make a strong claim for a top four spot. The Baggies themselves come into Sunday's encounter struggling for form - even under new management.

Following the sack of Slaven Bilic, the arrival of Sam Allardyce is yet to reap dividends with the club picking up just a point from a possible 12 in recent weeks. Under the tutelage of the English coach, West Brom have managed to snatch points away from the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool. But they are yet to replicate that form elsewhere.

Across the last 14 outings, the Hawthorns have won just two games, drawing three and losing the remaining name games. Four of the six most recent outings of the club have ended in losses.

For West Brom, Grady Diangana featured in the training to the build-up to Sunday's game after sustaining a thigh injury. New-boys Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Okay Yokuslu should be competing for places following the recent acquisition.
