Negotiations between Los Blancos and the talented defender have not progressed since December, and the player seems ready to put an end to his stay at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid fans who thought Sergio Ramos' future with Los Blancos was a lock may have to think it over, as the Spanish defender seems to be further away from signing a contract extension with each passing day.

The 34-year-old defender and his agent have not been able to make progress in their attempt to sign a two-year extension with the current La Liga champions, and if things are not sorted out by the end of the month, Ramos may end up leaving the club on a free transfer when the seasons comes to a conclusion.

To make matters worse, a report by Spanish TV show El Chiringuito suggests that Ramos and president Florentino Pérez had a face-to-face meeting prior to the game between Los Blancos and Elche, where the center-back revealed that PSG will try to sign the footballer on a free transfer next summer. El Chiringuito's sources state that Ramos went as far as to tell Pérez that the French side will add Lionel Messi to their roster once his deal at Camp Nou comes to an end.

Ramos' attempts to extend his contract at Real Madrid are not new, but the footballer had never delayed that much to sign a contract extension with Los Blancos. Time seems to be running out for both parties to reach a deal, but we will have to wait and see if the historic defender leaves the club where he became a football icon.
