The time has come for fans around the world to watch the semi-finals of the 2020 Copa Libertadores. The tournament, which had to be suspended last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, will see its semi-finalists being decided between this week and the next.
This will be a battle between two countries who will love to see one of their own lifting the crown. On one side, Argentine clubs Boca Juniors and River Plate will try to increase their tally in the continental competition with a possible Superclásico in the horizon, and on the other, Brazilian clubs Santos and Palmeiras will try to shock South American football by eliminating both Argentine teams.

The Argentine club will play its first semi-final tie away from their beloved Monumental Stadium since it is currently being remodeled. The Brazilian side is yet to lose their first game in the tournament, and some say that if there is a team that can beat River in this competition, it is precisely the green and white side from Brazil.

Los Xeneizes have not had the best Copa Libertadores, but they have managed to reach the semis with some interesting matches being played along the way. Miguel Angel Russo's men defeated fellow Argentine side Racing after losing the first leg, but beating Santos will not be an easy task for the blue and yellow club.
