Fabio Liverani's struggling side will welcome the Serie A's defending champions to Stadio Ennio Tardini as they search for a first win in four games.

Match preview

Parma will look to cause one of the biggest upsets in Serie A this season when they host Juventus at home on Saturday. The Giallorossi are poised to finally get back to winning ways with a series of draws leaving them just five points above the relegation zone.

Fabio Liverani's men enter the weekend's encounter off the back of a drab goalless draw against Cagliari in midweek, a result that extended the number of draws they have recorded to three in succession. This added up to the club's haul of six draws in the 12 league matches they have played so far with just two wins going their way.

Indeed, it is not for the want of trying as Parma have already stood their ground against some of Serie A's top clubs. After drawing with Inter Milan, and Fiorentina, the Emilians came close to securing a famous victory over AC Milan at San Siro on matchday 11, only for Theo Hernandez to score in the 92nd minute to tie the game. While they have not necessarily turned Stadio Ennio Tardini into a fortress, their record of two wins and six draws at the venue should serve as a motivation for them to get at least a point against Saturday's visitors.

For Juventus, the short-term objective is to extend their unbeaten run in the league by avoiding defeat against Parma. The Bianconeri enter the weekend's game as one of just three teams in Europe's top league to not have tasted defeat on the domestic front this term. A win or draw against Parma will take their run to 13 games and push them into second position with Inter Milan set to play on Sunday.

While they may boast of not losing a game, Juve have been far from consistent with their performances. Against Atalanta in midweek, the Turin outfit dropped two points after scoring first through Chiesa and seeing Cristiano Ronald miss a penalty in the 1-1 draw. Out of the 12 game unbeaten run, just six of the matches have ended in wins with the remaining six being draws.

Juventus' last defeat against Parma happened five years ago and on Saturday, they will look to increase their unbeaten run against the Emilians to five games in succession.

Team news

Juventus will be without Paulo Dybala when they travel to Parma on Saturday. The Argentine forward has been sidelined after picking up a muscle injury in training this week. Merih Demiral, Arthur and Giorgio Chiellini are also unavailable due to injury.

In camp of Parma, both Giuseppe Pezzella and Matteo Scozzarella face late fitness tests for their availability to be confirmed. The side should also have playmaker Juraj Kucka at their disposal when they take on the Bianconeri.

Predicted starting XI
