There were a few surprises for fans and experts in FIFA's gala. Here are all the men who earned enough praise to have a trophy sent home.

FIFA's gala did not have their nominees to be praised inside the venue, but that does not mean that there were no emotional speeches and reactions from those who won an award.

Video conferences were used to reveal the winner in each category, giving fans a chance to watch organic reactions from them while watching a screen. There were no reactions from those who did not win, but that was not necessary after watching some reactions by those on the set and the eventual winners.

The first award in the men's category to be handed out was the Best Goalkeeper award, which went to Manuel Neuer. The German shot-stopper beat Alisson Becker and Jan Oblak to the award.

The gala continued with the winner of the 2020 Puskas award being revealed. Tottenham's Son Heung-Min was the happy winner.

The next award to be handed out was the Best Coach award. Jurgen Klopp became the first boss to win back-to-back titles, and he did so by beating Hansi Flick and Marcelo Bielsa to the prize.

After a brief pause in the ceremony to heap praise on Diego Maradona and Paolo Rossi, the winner for The Best Player of the Year was announced. Such a fantastic year could not be ignored, and Robert Lewandowski claimed his first award of the sort today.
