It would take a miracle to see Pumas eliminating Siboldi's men, but will history repeat itself to see Cruz Azul dropping the ball one more time?

The second semi-final matchup in the Guard1anes 2020 tournament seems to already have a winner, but, Pumas will try to pull off a miraculous comeback to reach the final one more time.

Pumas only lost one game in the entire regular season, and it seems that they chose the worst moment to have one of the most disappointing performances in team history last Thursday. To make matter worse, Pumas only won one of their last four games at home, which doesn't seem to be a good omen for Lillini's men and their attempt to make a comeback.

Cruz Azul will enter the Olímpico Universitario with a massive four-goal lead and with the peace of mind that brings to know they haven't conceded as many goals as they would need to be eliminated. Nevertheless, their history has shown that kicking back and relax is not an option for them. Siboldi's men have won three of their last five away games, including their quarterfinal match against Tigres, which means that only a woeful game on their part could see them exit the tournament.

Pumas need to score four without conceding if they want to make it to the final. If they end up conceding once, then Lillini's men would need to score six time to reach the title clash. On the other side of the pitch, Cruz Azul can lose the game by a three-goal margin and still make it to the final, but Siboldi and his team will surely want to get to that game in high spirits, and what better way to do so than beating Pumas one more time.
