Morata trolled after having three goals disallowed

TROLLED: Morata's disallowed hat-trick causes hilarious comments

October 28, 2020 By Oscar Rojas
The Spanish striker seemed to have a curse set on him for this game, as none of his attempts on goal could go up on the scoreboard.

Not many players in the world can say they have been able to score a hat-trick against Barcelona. Unfortunately for Alvaro Morata, he became the first player in history to celebrate three goals against the Blaugrana side and to have them all disallowed.

The Spanish striker found the back of the net three times while facing Los Culés, but VAR officers decided to disallow all of them due to offside positions. Morata found the back of the net twice during the first half and one more during the second, but referee Danny Makkelie was told by his colleagues not to allow any of those goals to stand.

Morata's bad luck was not overlooked by fans around the world. The curious situation led to some hilarious trolls, some of which we have put together for your viewing pleasure.
