The Brazilian superstar headed straight for the tunnel after the injury forced his early substitution.

Paris Saint-Germain were dealt a blow in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League test against Istanbul Basaksehir with Neymar Jr picking up an injury. The Brazilian superstar signalled to the bench to be substituted in the first half after suffering what appears to be a muscle injury.

PSG headed into Wednesday's encounter on the back of the disappointing 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Matchday 1 and were pumped to make amends with a win in Turkey. The French outfit, however, failed to turn up in the early minutes of the proceeding and were forced to deal with the blushes of the dominating hosts.

Sooner rather than later, Thomas Tuchel's side had more misfortune coming their way as they were forced to make due with the injured Neymar Jr. The former Barcelona superstar had his left leg treated and strapped before hobbling off into the tunnel.

The extent of the forward's injury is yet to be known although he could potentially be out for the foreseeable future. A positive COVID-19 result, as well as a ban in Le Classique has already seen the attacker missing four of PSG's Ligue 1 games this season.
