After dropping points in a shock draw with bottom ranked Crotone, Juventus will look to start their UCL campaign on the right foot as they take on Dynamo Kyiv.

It's set to be a very interesting clash on the tactican's bench as Andrea Pirlo's Juventus face Eastern European outfit Dynamo Kyiv, who are led by Mircea Lucescu. That's because Pirlo first started his professional career at 16 under Lucescu's tenure 25 years ago at Brescia, and so there will be a little bit of nostaglia when the former coach and player reunite as the two sides battle for all three points in this group stage encounter.

Juventus will be really looking to get back to winning ways after failing to pick up all three points in a shock draw with Crotone last weekend. The Squali had failed to earn a single point from their first three games, but put on a doggedly defensive performance to prevent the Bianconeri from snatching a win after Alvaro Morata cancelled out their early lead. Juventus will be facing Dynamo Kyiv for the fifth time, and to date, they've dominated this series, outscoring them 12 to 3 and winning three of their last four meetings.

As for the hosts, this will be their first appearance in the group stage since the 2016/2017 edition of the Champions League, and to be frank, they are major underdogs in a quartet that includes Juventus and Barcelona. Still, there is a spot in the Europa League up for grabs if they can manage to pip fellow Eastern European side Ferencváros to third place, so their two games against that team will definitely prove vital in determining whether they continue in European competition or will be making an early exit. Despite the odds not looking good for them, Lucescu's side have made a solid start to the season so far, with seven wins in their last nine games across all comps, and may fancy their chances against a Juventus team who are missing several key players and were unable to find a way past the last-ranked team in Serie A.

Juventus: Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Weston McKennie will miss this game due to their positive COVID-19 tests, and midfielder Aaron Ramsey is a major doubt as he continues to recover from injury. Meanwhile, former Fiorentina player Federico Chiesa was sent off in his debut for his new club, but he will be able to feature here. Finally, both Alex Sandro and Matthijs De Ligt are out with injuries that have prevented them for featuring for Juventus in the team's last match.
