After a rocky start to the season that saw them lose their first two games sans scoring a goal, reigning champs PSG have finally got up and running. Les Parisiens have won their last three games as they slowly inch their way up the table, and will be seeking to make it a fourth on the spin before the league pauses for the international break. Notably, Thomas Tuchel's men have tightened things up at the back, as no goals have been scored in their last trio of games.

Currently in seventh spot ahead of the latest round of fixtures, PSG could move up a couple of slots - albeit temporarily - should they beat Angers on Friday evening. After the international hiatus, they will take on Nimes, Dijon, and Nantes which are all teams currently sitting in the bottom half of the table, so by the time November rolls around, they should have picked up quite a few points as they seek to make up quickly for dropping six at the start of this campaign.

However, their visitors also come into this game in decent form, and also have picked up three wins from their last five games. That being said, Angers have alternated between a win and a loss during that time frame, and although they come into this match having beaten Brest 3-2 in a five goal thriller, they have already shipped eight goals, while scoring just six times. Coupled with their bad track record against PSG - they've failed to win their last nine meetings with Les Parisiens - the odds don't bode well in their favor to come away with three points from the Parc des Princes.

PSG: Angel Di Maria and Layvin Kurzawa are both banned for this fixture, while Juan Bernat is a long-term absentee following surgery on his ruptured ACL. Meanwhile, star man Neymar could be in doubt here after having some calf issues, and defender Thilo Kehrer won't be available until after the international hiatus.

Angers: The visitors will have to make do without Souleyman Doumbia, Rachid Alioui, Farid El Melali, Romain Thomas, and Waniss Taibi, with the first four dealing with various injuries and Taibi testing positive for COVID-19.
