Spurs have reportedly entered the fray for the signature of the Real Madrid starlet amid United's hesitance.

Manchester United could miss out on signing Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid after Los Blancos accepted a bid from Tottenham Hotspur, a new report from England has revealed. The North London club swiftly moved to submit a 30 million-euro bid on Tuesday and are set to hijack the Spaniard's move to Old Trafford by agreeing personal terms in the coming days.

Reguilon is expected to leave Real Madrid this summer despite enjoying a remarkable loan spell with Sevilla last season. Earlier this month, reports from Spain indicated that the 23-year-old fullback had been offered to Manchester United by the Merengues. The latter, however, sought to keep tabs on the promising full-back by including a buy-back clause in any contract to be signed.

Having already agreed personal terms with Reguilon, the Red Devils have pushed against the inclusion of the clause being proposed by the Madrid club. Amid the impasse, Tottenham Hotspur have apparently moved swiftly to beat their Premier League rivals by tabling a bid for the Spanish international.

According to the trusted Fabrizio Romano, Spurs inquired about Reguilon's availability during a negotiation to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid. They then followed up with a 30 million-euro bid which was accepted by the Spanish giants.

Unlike Manchester United, Jose Mourinho's side have no issues regarding the inclusion of a buy-back clause by Los Blancos and are now working on agreeing personal terms with the player to seal the transfer.
