Barca's list of woeful records revealed

Barcelona's list of woeful records after 8-2 loss against Bayern

August 14, 2020 By Oscar Rojas
Los Blaugranas conceded four goals during each half of the game in one of the worst performances in club history.

Barcelona waited to have their worst European night of all time when they faced Bayern München in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, and Quique Setién will go down in history as the man behind the worst performance by a Blaugrana club.

The Catalan club dropped the ball massively in the only competition they had left to end the season with new silverware, and with that performance came an avalanche of records for all the wrong reasons.

Such records include the worst beating taken by Los Culés in any European match in history. In fact, it was the first time in which the Catalan side allowed eight goals in any tournament for 76 years.

Needless to say, this was also a day to forget for the Spanish side in European tournaments.

In case you were wondering about Messi, this loss with the Blaugrana side has also marked a milestone for the Argentine for all the wrong reasons. "Bayern München has handed Lionel Messi the worst defeat in his career with either club or country"

Barcelona's future will surely be under serious questioning for the rest of the offseason, and losing in this disappointing manner will surely mark the end of an era for the Blaugrana side.
