The Argentine ace shared his views on life after the outbreak and the effect it should have on professional sports.

Most people think that life after the coronavirus pandemic will not go back to normality (or at least to what some called "normal"), but forcing to go back to the way things were caused a public disagreement between Carlos Tévez and his club, Boca Juniors.

Speaking in a recent interview, Tévez questioned the reasons behind the Superliga Argentina's return to action with the outbreak hitting Argentina hard. According to Tévez, making such a call could end up being counter-productive.

"I believe that it will be hard to return now, especially knowing that there are people dying aroung the world. It is simply not the right time to do it," Tévez said.

The words by Boca Juniors' captain did not go down well among the team's hierarchy, and they decided to issue a response in an unrelated post that spoke about coach Miguel Angel Russo's decision to go back to work.

"Now that we have a date to go back to the pitch, our coaches and staff know there is a need to go back to our training sessions under every protocol that's necessary to protect everyone's safety," the team's Twitter feed stated.

Tévez recently signed a one-year contract extension with the club. The 36-year-old striker is expected to put an end to his career once the aforementioned contract comes to an end.
