The Belgian international landed a number of remarkable milestones with his contributions in the day's clash.

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku equaled a record previously held by Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario with his goals against Genoa on Saturday. The 26-year-old Belgian scored a brace to fire the Nerazzuri to a 3-0 away win at the Luigi Ferraris.

It was business as usual for Antonio Conte and his men who were ushered in control as a result of Lukaku’s 34-minute opener. The former Manchester United striker grabbed his 22nd Serie A goal of the season by heading Cristiano Biraghi’s cross past Genoa’s Mattia Perrin.

Inter Milan had their lead doubled in the 82nd minute through Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean was set-up by Nigeria wing-back Victor Moses after a great build-up play. Inside the third-minute of stoppages, Lukaku raced all the way from the half-way and struck home for his second of the game.

Watch:

In effect, the Belgian international became the first player to score 23 Serie A goals in the first season with Inter Milan since Ronaldo Nazario did so in 1998. Also, the striker became the first Nerazzurri player to score 15 away goals in a single Serie A season since Stefano Nyers did so in 1950.

In addition, Lukaku, with his 23 goals, moved to the third place among the best Inter' goalscorers in their first Seria A season. He now has more goals than Diego Milito and Amedeo Amadei (22) and is two goals behind Ronaldo Nazario (25) and three behind Stefano Nyers (26).

On a personal level, Belgium’s all-time top-goalscorer has now scored 29 goals across all competitions – the best goal tally he has ever managed in any other season in his career.
