Matchday 28 is set to kick off and league leaders Juventus certainly will be quite relieved that plucky side Atalanta were able to dent Lazio's charge by beating them earlier this week. That has temporarily taken some pressure off La Vecchia Signora, who have had the Aquile breathing down their necks for much of this season, but they are still not totally in the clear just yet.
Meanwhile, Inter will be again looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing result midweek, while cross-town rivals AC Milan still have not given up their dogged pursuit of European football - but face a very tough opponent this weekend.

Match of the round: Lazio - Fiorentina
With Lazio dropping points in a tough clash against Atalanta, the onus will be on the Aquile to get back on track as they host Fiorentina. The Viola, for their part, are winless in their last four and sit in 13th. While they are not in danger of relegation, they are jsut six points away from from 18th-placed Lecce, who will have to take on Juventus in an earlier game and will naturally be the stark underdogs there.
Fiorentina notably did spoil Napoli's Scudetto ambitions a couple of seasons back when they were under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri, and it will be very interesting to see if the same Viola throw another monkey wrench in the plans of another Scudetto aspirant this time around. That being said, Lazio have an excellent home record and enjoy a strong string of past showings against the Tuscan side, so the odds do look for Simone Inzaghi's men to rebound after their frustrating loss.

How will Inter respond after setback?
Despite sitting in the bottom half of the table, Sassuolo again proved to be another nuisance for the Nerazzurri yet again. The Neroverdi made sure they were not going to leave the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza without something in hand, and departed with a point, much to the frustration of Antonio Conte, who now will be banned for the team's upcoming match against Parma. The Crociati are higher placed in the table than their fellow side from Emilia-Romagna and will be intent on trying to grab at least a point in this fixture. After all, they did manage to hold Inter to a two-all draw earlier this season at the Stadio Giuseppe Merazza.
Atalanta to make a late push for third spot?
La Dea had an excellent season last term, and they have shown they are no one season wonder by following that up with some more strong showings this season. Gian Piero Gasperini's side are looking quite solid to clinch another top four berth, but there is the possibility they could even finish third if things start to go their way.
Inter are four points ahead, but Atalanta will be taking on struggling side Udinese and will be hopeful for a positive result there - especially given they crushed the Zebrette 7-1 in the reverse fixture in the first half of this season. They do have some tough fixtures coming up, with Napoli and Juventus on the immediate horizon before facing Inter later, but given how they fought to come from 2-0 down against Lazio to win the game 3-2, nothing really seems impossible for this ambitious club from Bergamo these days.
