The wait for Harry Kane to get his first goal in 2020 is finally over as the Englishman successfully found the back of the net in Tottenham's victory over West Ham. The striker delivered the final blow in Wednesday night's 2-0 win over the Hammers to attain a Premier League milestone.
There was a general sigh of relief in the Spurs' camp, especially from manager Jose Mourinho, with Kane finally ending his goal drought after a lenghty injury spell. The Portuguese manager recently came under scrutiny due to his star attacker's non-scoring run. Having jumped to the defense of the England international in his pre-match press conference, the former Chelsea and Man United boss had his faith rewarded in no time.
With eight minutes of regulation time left to play, Harry Kane was set up by Heung-min Son and raced all the way from the half-way line to slot home his 12th Premier League goal of the season. Watch the goal below:

In what was a landmark appearance, the goal ensured that the Spur striker became only the second player in the competition's history with the most goals in his first 200 outings. His 137 tally placed him just a goal away from tying with Manchester City's Sergio Kun Aguero in first place.
137 - @HKane has now scored 137 goals in 200 appearances for Spurs in the @premierleague - the only player in the competition's history to have scored more in their first 200 games for a club is Sergio Agüero (138). Talisman. #TOTWHU pic.twitter.com/cBGXF2fFG4

Relatively, Kane's strike was his 30th in 48 Premier League London derbies. In effect, only Teddy Sheringham (32), Frank Lampard (32) and Thierry Henry (43) have scored more often in such matches in the competition’s history than the Tottenham Hotspur forward.
Waited a long time for that! Perfect night to win and get back on the scoresheet. #COYS pic.twitter.com/TApxDf2vpL
