Tottenham and Man Utd lock horns in top-four race as the first full post-suspension Premier League Matchday kicks off on Friday
Premier League Matchday 30 kicks off on NBC Sports with Wolves looking to remain hot on Man UTD's heels whilst America's darling boy Christian Pulisic is set to step onto the pitch again for the first time since January! However, the box-office tie this round is one of two games taking place this Friday and it is the higly-anticipated showdown between Tottenham and Man Utd.
This clash could go a long way in the top-four race, with the 2019/20 battle to make next season's Champions League being one of the fiercest ones in recent history. The fifth-placed Red Devils are the closest side to usurping fourth-placed Chelsea as the gap between these two English giants is a mere three points. However, Spurs aren't far off themselves as they trail Solskjaer's men by four points and Lampard's crew by seven.
Mourinho, who is currently in charge of the north London giants, will get a second chance at revenge over his former employers, having lost 2-1 back in December upon returning to Old Trafford. Unfortunately for Tottenham, they will be without Dele Alli who was slapped with a one-match ban by the FA over an ill-timed coronavirus joke he made on social media. Who will win this showdown? The English top-flight excitement continues into the weekend with the Merseyside Derby, with Liverpool making the trip to Everton on Sunday. This game; which will be live on NBC Sports, Telemundo, and SiriusXM FC; will be the first match for Klopp's side since the COVID-19 suspension. The Reds are in need of two wins to officially be crowned the Premier League champions and given that they have not lost a Merseyside Derby since October 2010, Van Dijk and Co. are the favorites to emerge triumphant in Sunday's Goodison Park trip.
And, as mentioned earlier, Christian Pulisic's Chelsea will also be back in action on Sunday, taking on Aston Villa. The London giants will face a relegation-battling side but will need to rekindle their form, having won only twice in their last seven league ties. Sevilla vs Barcelona one of three Friday, June 19 games to usher in Matchday 30 in La Liga
In La Liga, Getafe, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and Valencia seek to destabilize Real Sociedad and Getafe in the race for a Top 4 finish. However, all eyes will be on Friday's showdown between Barcelona and Sevilla. Unlike Real Madrid who took on and beat Valencia, the Blaugrana had not faced a tough test upon return to action. This will come to an end in Matchday 30 as the league leaders will lock horns with Spain's third-placed side.
The Catalan giants have netted six goals in two games since resuming their campaign, with Messi scoring two and assisting two of those six strikes. Los Hispalenses, on the other hand, suffered a setback in the recent round, drawing 1-1 against Levante and will be keen on returning to winning ways against Barcelona.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid, who enjoyed a 5-0 win over Osasuna, are back in the top four and will be facing Real Valladolid. Real Sociedad, who are in a tense race to qualify for the Champions League, will be hosting Real Madrid in a heated top-six showdown. Serie A and Russian Premier League making their comebacks with interesting showdowns set to hit the screens this weekend
Both the Serie A and the Russian Premier League will be making their much-awaited return. The Italian top-flight is back with Atalanta and Inter both involved in home matches with one objective: to consolidate their Champions League qualification position. Atalanta, the league's fourth-placed team who are only three points ahead of fifth-placed Roma, will be taking on Sassuolo in the first of Sunday's two kick-offs. Juventus, on the other hand, will be in action on Monday, taking on Bologna. The Bianconeri's goal is simple: return to winning ways. Sarri's side have played two Coppa Italia games since the return from the suspension, failing to win either of those ties. They will head into Matchday 27 on the back of their Coppa final defeat at the hands of Napoli and will be keen to bounce back.
The Russian Premier League is also back, with this top-flight being one of a few to welcome fans to the stands. Stadiums will be allowed to use 10 percent of their capacity, with games set to be available to watch worldwide on Youtube. The standout tie is CSKA Moskva vs Zenit, which will take place this Saturday. The Lions, who are the league leaders, will face off against the Moscow giants in what should be an exciting top-five clash.
In Germany, Bayern Munich return to the Allianz Arena after clinching their 8th consecutive Bundesliga title in midweek, taking on eighth-placed Freiburg. The interest in the Bundesliga shifts to Gladbach and Leverkusen's Champions League qualification battle.

Return dates for the UCL, UEL, and UWCL confirmed
UEFA have confirmed the return dates for the Champions League, Europa League, and Women's Champions League, with all those competitions set to resume in August. Format changes are coming, with the tournaments set to abandon the home-and-away format for the remaining stages in favor of a single knockout one-leg tournament. Additionally, the number of subs per game will be increased from three to five.
