The Blues believe that the league will resume in June, which is why they want to earn their fitness back as soon as possible.

Chelsea execs and coach Frank Lampard seem to be on top of things for the return of the Premier League, and they have asked their players to go back to London in order to begin preparations for the expected date.

According to ESPN, Chelsea is ready to follow all protocols established by the English government, which is why they need those players that flew to their countries back in England by the end of the weekend.

The report by the American media outlet states that players such as Willian, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri received communication from the club to speed up their return to the country, in order for them to follow the 14-day quarantine period and begin their workout sessions with the Blues as soon as said period is over.

ESPN states that a video conference call will be held among club execs on Friday to determine the potential return date of the league, which will be subject to approval by the English government.

The English Premier League is reportedly eyeing a return to action on June 8 with social distancing measures being implemented to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. Nevertheless, there will be no steps taken in that direction until the English government gives its green light.
