The Red Devils are increasingly growing confident of securing the service of the Borussia Dortmund sensation.

Manchester United has solidified it's pole position in the race for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, a report by Mirror has indicated. The Red Devils are seemingly on track to sign the English starlet with a recent update suggesting that their Premier League rivals are falling out of the chase for the player.

Jadon Sancho has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford after rising to prominence at the Signal Iduna Park following a switch from Manchester City back in 2017. A series of stellar performances in both Europe and the domestic front has also seen the youngster attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Chelsea. Ahead of the summer, Die BVB has already conceded defeat in keeping their most-prized asset with many suggesting that a move back to the Premiership will be the most likely scenario for the Englishman.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be a huge admirer of Sancho and has already given United chief Ed Woodward the greenlight to see to the winger's recruitment to aid his rebuild this summer. As per the Mirror's report, the Red Devils are not likely to be met with much competition considering that other suitors in the Premier League have been put off by Dortmund's 120-million-pound valuation of the attacker who only turned 20 yesterday.

At the moment, belief is high that a deal between Dortmund and Man United will be concluded as the latter has already initiated transfer talks with Sancho's representatives. Should the move be completed, the former Man City starlet will usurp Paul Pogba as the Red Devils' most-expensive signing in history.

Sancho has once again had a remarkable spell with Die BVB, scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists in 21 Bundesliga starts this season.
