That team is none other than Barcelona, who will reportedly ask their players to give back part of their salaries to help the team's finances. According to reports by Marca and As, the Blaugrana president will present the team a number of alternatives to help the club's finances, and one of those will require players to forfeit part of their salaries.
The report by Marca states that 61% of the team's 2019-20 budget would be spent in player wages, which may explain why Bartomeu may ask for this gesture by the players. The total amount of player wages goes up to a whopping €507M (around $540M).
