The Dutch shot-stopper made a mess of a save while side side was on course to victory in Wednesday's cup tie.

Tottenham Hotspur fans were left to fume over a goalkeeping mistake by Michel Vorm against Norwich City on Wednesday. The FA Cup 5th Round tie with was forced into extra time after the 36-year-old shot-stopper gifted the visitors the opportunity to cancel Spurs' lead with the night's encounter approaching its end.

Ahead of the encounter, Tottenham supporters were left to ponder Jose Mourinho's team selection which featured Vorm in post. Skepticism emerged among the club's fanbase with regards to the goalkeeper's readiness for the night's game as he had been out of action since his last appearance for the Lillywhites during the 2-2 draw against PSV in the 2018 Champions League.

Mourinho's decision to field Vorm subsequently backfired with the goalkeeper spilling a save which would hand Norwich a lifeline inside the Tottenham Stadium. Nevertheless, that was not until after Jan Vertongen had grabbed the opener for the hosts in the first half.
