What are the format changes for this edition of the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League?

The top three leagues in the UEFA Nations League will now be played by four groups of four teams each, raising the number of teams in each league to 16. This decision was reached by the 55 nations competing in this tournament once the 2018-19 edition was over. After the decision was made, the teams that were relegated in the previous edition were once again placed in their previous leagues.

Will there be relegated teams on this edition of the UEFA Nations League?

Yes. Teams that end in last place of each League group in League A and League B will be automatically relegated. Those that finish last in League C will enter a two-legged playoff to determine the two teams that will be relegated to League D.
