Real Madrid reaches decision on Ramos' red card

Real Madrid makes shocking decision after Ramos' red card against Man City

February 27, 2020 By Oscar Rojas
The Spanish center back was sent off moments before the 90th minute after tackling Gabriel Jesus inches away from the box.

Life without Sergio Ramos for Real Madrid is not easy, even if they should live with the consequences of his actions.

The Spanish footballer was sent off during the second half of the game between Los Blancos and Manchester City after what seemed to be a harsh tackle against Gabriel Jesus. But it seems that not everyone at Real Madrid agrees, and the club is ready to fight to have Ramos' red card erased.

According to a report by As, Real Madrid will file a complaint to see the punishment expunged, mainly because experts believe that the red card against Ramos was questionable, to say the least.

One of those refereeing experts has stated that if Manchester City's first goal was allowed to go up on the scoreboard, Ramos shouldn'y have been sent off.

VAR officers are not allowed to intervene during the game on this matters, mainly because a foul of such type is subject to the ref's interpretation. Now, it seems that Real Madrid is ready to go all the way in their attempt to have the player around for the second leg.
