The Belgian superstar limped off the pitch in Saturday's loss against Levante.

Real Madrid has been dealt a huge blow ahead of its UEFA Champions League tie with Manchester City and next weekend's El Clasico following Eden Hazard's injury against Levante. The 28-year-old Belgian attacker limped off with a knock in the second half and looked on as his side fell to a 1-0 defeat on Saturday night.

Hazard, who was only featuring in his second game after a fractured ankle ruled him out of action for three months, was pictured shaking his head with disappointment as he hobbled around the Cuitat de Valencia pitch for minutes. He was eventually replaced by Vinicius Jr in the 67th minute having failed to convert one of Madrid's best chances earlier in the game.

On the visitors' bench, the former Chelsea talisman was left icing the ankle of the leg of which he recently had a surgery on. Real Madrid is yet to issue a statement to address the extent of his injury although there is reason to believe that he could be ruled out Los Blancos' impending games.

According to AS, Zidane confirmed in the aftermath of Saturday's defeat that Hazard had taken a knock in the same place he had the previous injury and "things did not look good." Neverthless, the player will undergo tests as soon as possible before any decision can be made.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is set to welcome Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City brigade to the Bernabeu for the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie on Wednesday before it hosts Barcelona at the same venue for the crunch El Clasico clash on Sunday. The latter takes on Napoli in the European cup competition on Tuesday.
