Copa del Rey - Where to watch Real Madrid and Barcelona-less semis

February 11, 2020 By Oscar Rojas
Here's everything you need to know to watch two of the last five games in one of the most exciting cup competitions in decades.

The 2019-20 Copa del Rey has brought its fair share of surprises, and the semi-finals of the competition promise to bring fans around the world a few more.

Last week, three of the four teams that made it to the semis earned their spot in this round by winning their respective matches at home. The only one to do so away from home was Real Sociedad, who ousted Real Madrid with a 4-3 score. Surprisingly, Mirandés was the only team from the bunch to earn their place in the semis with a two-goal margin in their favor.

This time, the eliminations of Barcelona and Real Madrid will see a different kind of Copa del Rey semis. Here's how all the games will be played...with a special touch from ourselves.

Athletic Club vs Granada

Los Leones eliminated Barcelona with a last-gasp goal by Iñaki Williams, and facing Granada will not be as easy as you may think. The Andalucian side has not been able to win a single game away from home in quite a while, which gives the Basque team an edge in this tie. If Granada wants to keep their hopes to reach the final alive, they will need to escape San Mamés with a draw.

Real Sociedad vs Mirandés

The Txuri-urdin have the best striker of the competition on their roster, and they will need Alexander Isak's skills to eliminate the "giant-killers" of the competition. This will be quite a test for the Segunda División team, especially since Real Sociedad has shown just how good they can be when playing at Anoeta. Will Mirandés' fairy tale continue this week, or will the blue and white crew end their title hopes?
