The RB Leipzig striker is a highly-sought after striker and has now hinted at a Bundesliga exit.

Timo Werner is one of the hottest names in world football at the moment and the German sensation has put several clubs on red alert after publicly flirting with a move to England or Spain.

The RB Leipzig ace has been linked with an array of Europe’s heavyweights, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man United all reportedly being interested in the 23-year-old. He came close to a Bayern Munich move for this season but a transfer away from Germany appears likely now.

Speaking to Kicker, the Bundesliga striker admitted that he sees himself leaving the German top-flight but has no specific destination in mind at the moment. Despite this, he added that there are teams in Spain that “would for sure be fun to play” at.

"I can imagine playing abroad at some point, but there's no specific place will go. I'm open to everything," Werner said, as per AS.

"When I was on holiday in America, English football was on all the time. But there are also very well-known and big teams in Spain where it would for sure be fun to play.

"When you have scored 20 goals this season so far at the age of 23, you obviously attract interest. That's clear. But at the moment, I'm not thinking about what will happen in the future.

"We are now facing important matches that will be decisive for the rest of the season. That's what I want to concentrate on. I'll think about my future at a later point in time."

He added: "What do you say if in two weeks a club that is a contender for winning the Champions League wants to sign someone and makes a great offer? Every player would think about it.

"In my opinion, career planning is always relative. It comes how it comes – and then you have to deal with it at the right time."

The 23-year-old is enjoying a prolific season in front of goal, scoring 25 times in 28 games in all competitions for his current side. As a result, he might find several suitors come the summer.

Barcelona are one club in need of a striker. With Luis Suarez’s fitness level plummeting with age, the Blaugrana could do well with Werner. Chelsea, meanwhile, are in a similar situation with the young Tammy Abraham being their only reliable number nine at the moment.
