The French player suffered a relapse from the injury he picked up back in November, but the worst fears were confirmed after recent tests.

Barcelona's season is starting to look like a bad car crash, especially due to the amount of injuries suffered by their first-team players.

As reported earlier, Ousmané Dembelé suffered a relapse from his muscular injury, but further tests have revealed that the French star will be out for the rest of the season due to a tear to his right thigh's femoral biceps.

This fresh injury setback hurts Barcelona's chances of success, mainly because Los Culés only have Antoine Griezmann, Lionel Messi and Ansu Fati as options up front. Although the club is yet to confirm how much time the player will be on the sidelines, the estimated period to recover from such an injury goes from three to four months, which make his return before the end of the season something less than likely.

According to a report by Marca, the player has been ruled out of 63 games during his time at Camp Nou because of his many injuries. Only time will tell if there will be enough patience to keep him around after this new injury, but as of now, Barcelona will surely pray for a miraculous recovery in order to have him around for the final stretch of the season.
