What an entertaining match Leicester vs Chelsea turned out to be! The Premier League’s third and fourth-placed teams locked horns in Saturday’s early kick-off, playing out a thrilling 2-2 draw.

A first-half penalty controversy involving Tammy Abraham and an unfortunate miss from Jamie Vardy meant that things remained goalless heading into the break. However, it did not take to long for Chelsea to break the deadlock once play resumed.

A 46th-minute header from Anthony Rudiger saw the Blues take a 1-0 advantage. Unfortunately, this lead lasted only eight minutes, with the Foxes finding the equalizer after Barnes’ deflected shot found the back of the net.

Ten minutes later, Leicester scored again, taking the lead thanks to Chilwell but this advantage as well lasted a short while, with Anthony Rudiger scoring a towering header to make it 2-2 and complete his brace. The German defender set a lovely feat along the way.

The 26-year-old became the first defender to complete a two-goal haul for the London giants in almost seven years. The last center-back to pull this off was none other than the legendary John Terry.

Despite this, it was another disappointing result for Lampard’s side in their race to finish in the top four. This was the sixth time this season that Chelsea have scored first yet failed to win and are now only seven points ahead of Man United, Tottenham, and Wolves at the time of writing this article, having played a game extra.
