The Portuguese playmaker will finally join the Red Devils once he completes a medical examination.

One of this winter's transfer sagas has finally come to an end, as Manchester United and Sporting have finally reached a deal for Bruno Fernandes.

The highly-rated midfielder had been linked to Barcelona and Valencia in the last few hours, but agent Jorge Mendes and Red Devils' execs found common ground to make the deal happen before January 31.

The 25-year-old will be unveiled as a new Manchester United footballer once he completes a medical examination and after agreeing terms with the English side. He will become the fourth player in history to jump from Sporting to Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Marcos Rojo preceeded him in that feat.

Sources close to the negotiation reveal that Fernandes will join Manchester United after a payment of $60M.
