Tokyo 2020 is rapidly approaching, and national teams are in the process of releasing their rosters and prepping for qualifiers that run from Jan. 28 through Feb. 9 around the globe

Matildas head coach Ante Milicic announced his squad on Wednesday for the third round of Olympic qualifiers for Asian nations that will be held on February in China.

A top-two finish in Group B consisting of China PR, Chinese Tapei and Thailand would see the Westfield Matildas go through to the final play-off round. With that in mind, there is little margin of error given the renovated qualifying format. Depending on what position Australia finish in the group stage, it will face either the winner (second place finish) or runner-up (first place finish) of Group A to secure a spot for Tokyo 2020.

Australia enters the qualifying round as the highest ranked team of the group at 7th in the world. The host nation, China PR, is ranked 15th, Chinese Taipei sits as 40th and Thailand as 38th.
