Currently in fourth place, and nine points league leaders Liverpool, Manchester City will be hoping to close the gap on the runaway leaders when they host Chelsea. At the start of the season, no one could have expected the reigning champs to be so far behind Liverpool, let alone behind Leicester City and Frank Lampard's young and inexperienced Blues side, but that's how the table looks at this juncture in the season. Pep Guardiola's side have not looked as convincing as they did last season when they just pipped Liverpool to the league title and now they will welcome a Blues side who have been rapidly growing in confidence with each passing match.

That being said, they have won their last seven away games across all comps and could have a great chance to make it eight on the trot for the first time all season. Chelsea: Young American star Christian Pulisic has returned to training after recovering from a hip injury and due to his impressive showings for the Blues, will likely reclaim his spot in the starting XI. In addition, Jorginho will be available to feature after missing Chelsea's last fixture due to suspension.
