The Special One made one special request to Daniel Levy in order to join the London-based side.

Jose Mourinho had one special request for Daniel Levy before he even considered taking Tottenham Hotspur's coaching gig.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Mourinho's negotiations with Tottenham's main man went on smoothly, and before Mourinho put pen to paper to his three and a half year with the London-based club, he made the necessary moves to assure one crucial player to his project stayed for quite a while with the club.

That man is none other than Harry Kane, who's close relationship with Mauricio Pochettino could have seen him look for pastures new once the Argentine coach was sacked. That is why Mourinho's first order of business was offering Kane a new, hefty deal, to keep him around.

In fact, one of the first players Mourinho talked to when he started conducting his first training session with Spurs was the English striker. The duo exchanged a few thoughts in a private talk before Kane joined the rest of the team in Wednesday's training session.

Kane is seen by Mourinho as the cornerstone to his project, and if Mourinho's talk got to the player's heart, it will take more than a smile to lure the Englishman away from the club where he has found fame and fortune.
