The Spanish giants have performed properly in La Liga, but they want to add more talent to keep their options of winning the title alive.

Inter Milan's surprising season under Antonio Conte is not going overlooked by teams around the globe, and some of their footballers could be nearing an exit due to their fine performances under the Italian boss.

Added to the interest shown in Lautaro Martínez by Barcelona, players such as Stefano Sensi and Milan Skriniar have attracted attention from other top clubs in Europe, and the latter has now been linked to none other than Real Madrid, in what would be an interesting move to boost Los Blancos' defense.

In a recent interview, Mithat Halis revealed that both Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in the player's services, but according to the partner of the firm that represents the player, Los Blancos are closer to land a deal for the footballer.

"Skriniar is worth over $100 million. Real Madrid and Barcelona have been bidding for his transfer for over two years, but now I see Real Madrid closer to the player than Barcelona," Halis stated.

Halis based his judgement in Real Madrid's needs, which would edge the footballer closer to a move to the Spanish capital.

"Real Madrid must look for alternatives to replace Ramos and Varane, that is why they came knocking on Inter's door. I see Milan Skriniar joining Real Madrid soon," Halis added.

The 24-year-old Slovakian has played 16 games for Inter this season in all comps, collecting only four yellow cards. He has failed to score goals this season, but he is one of the highest-rated players in the squad and one of Conte's most trusted defenders in his first year at the helm.
