The Barcelona attacking duo are said to be ignoring each other.

More problems may be brewing at Barcelona with Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann reportedly not on talking terms. The claim suggests that the attacking pair have, in recent times, avoided having any form of conversation with each other to the extent of not even communicating in training.

Rumors about the two Barca stars being at loggerheads have dominated headlines in Spanish media for sometime now despite Ernesto Valverde and Gerard Pique coming out to refute the speculation. In Tuesday's Champions League clash between the Camp Nou outfit and and Slavia Praha, the pair gave fans more reason to believe that a feud possibly exists having managed just five passes between them in the surprise 0-0 draw.

In the course of the action, a few moments sparked a conversation on social media about both Messi and Griezmann trying to sabotage each other. In the first instance, the former - having sprinted all the way from the half-way line to the edge of the visitors' penalty area - overlooked the option of setting up the Frenchman (who was arguably in a better position) to score and rattled the crossbar with his effort at goal. A subsequent build-up play also saw Griezmann choosing to ping a pass to compatriot Ousmane Dembele in a counter-attacking move after refusing to lay-off the ball to Messi who was relatively closer.

In both situations, Barcelona was done a huge disservice as the dynamics of the game could have been altered had they made the obvious choices. The chemistry between the two attackers is apparently on rocks and the latest revelation by Spanish television network El Chiringuito hints at more trouble in the dressing room.

p>According to a report issued on Friday, both Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann have casually avoided making contact with each other in training. French publication L'Equipe has also added more fuel to the feud by claiming that the former Atletico Madrid star also has a rather unstable relationship with Luis Suarez as well.

Per their account, the duo are still upset about the fact that the World Cup winner rejected Barca back in 2018. As a resolve to pay him back, they have decided to outrightly ignore him.
