The Reds' boss is eager to see the end of his contract with the Merseyside club, but he is already thinking about a possible next step in his career.

Jürgen Klopp's future still makes fans wonder where he will end up next, and even though he is not in the running for the job, he would consider to coach his national team if given the opportunity.

The German boss appeared in an interview with Magenta TV, and when asked about it, Klopp respectfully admitted that he would think about that option if DFB execs come knocking on his door.

"I really cannot say. I don't know if I would like to. Now, as of today, I do not feel like it. Stand up now, I'm totally happy with what I do and that's important in the whole story. If the question ever arises, I would think about it, but not now," Klopp said.

Germany boss Joachim Löw recently put pen to paper to a new deal with Die Mannschaft, which ends in 2022. Klopp's deal with Liverpool also ends in 2022, and some people believe that Klopp would be the right man to replace Löw, who led Germany to the 2014 World Cup title and to one of their worst performances in the global competition four years later.

Later in the interview, Klopp admitted that he is yet to be convinced about how much good he can bring to the German side, or if he should be considered as the top option to take over after Löw calls it quits.

"I also could not say one-hundred percent if I was the right one to replace Löw," Klopp added.

Klopp has been actively speaking about his life when his career with Liverpool is over, even hinting at the possibility of a sabbatical. Nevertheless, the chance of coaching the German National Team comes once in a lifetime. Let's see if Klopp ends up postponing his plans to coach Die Mannschaft.
