The German manager has explained what happened in the aftermath of the weekend's victory.

Liverpool headcoach Jurgen Klopp has come clean on what instigated the scuffle which ensued between his players and Leicester City's at the end of Saturday's clash. The German manager's side secured a dramatic win at home to keep their 100 percent start intact but was drawn into a post-match brawl involving the Foxes' Ayoze Perez.

Up until the 95th minute, the Reds were on course to sharing spoils with Brendan Rodger's men as James Madison had previously canceled out Sadio Mane's first half strike in the 80th minute. The Senegalese, however, won a controversial penalty for the hosts having made contact with Mark Albrighton. James Milner subsequently stepped up to convert.

A few seconds later former Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez and the Englishman were seen in a scuffle whereas teammates Adam Lallana and Andrew Robertson were also involved with others from Leicester's camp. Addressing a new conference following the end to proceedings, Klopp stated that Robertson was culpable for agitating Perez.

"Andy Robertson celebrated on final whistle and pushed [Perez], which he probably didn't expect, which he was annoyed at," the German manager stated.

Liverpool currently sits atop the Premier League table with 24 points - eight more than defending champions Manchester City who have a game in hand.
