Zidane may need to add more talent to his team during the winter transfer window due to this fresh injury setback.

The injury plague that has hit Real Madrid so hard during the first weeks of the season carries on, and now, one of Zidane's most reliable players will be out for the rest of the year after picking up a knee injury.

The Spanish giants struggled to draw their second UEFA Champions League match of the season on Tuesday, when Club Brugge snatched a draw away from the Bernabeu after owning a two-goal lead at one point of the game.

Zinedine Zidane was forced to sub Thibaut Courtois and Nacho out of the game after 45 minutes, and it is precisely the Spanish defender who will be out for the rest of 2019 after picking up an collateral ligament injury to his right knee.

The club has released a statement in which the footballer has been ruled out for the next two and a half months. Considering the winter break, Nacho will not return to the pítch until 2020.

Nacho becomes the eleventh different Real Madrid player to have been diagnosed with an injury since the start of the season. Marco Asensio, Ferland Mendy, Brahim Díaz, Mariano, Marcelo, Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Gareth Bale, James Rodríguez and even Thibaut Courtois have been injured at one point of the season, but this new setback will force Zidane to keep rotations to a minimum.
