What is the form of Galatasaray compared to PSG?

Galatasaray have not lost once in their last six games. However, the Turkish giants’ form has not been great. From those aforementioned six games, the Lions won only two of them, drawing the remaining four including their last three outings.

As for PSG, they lost for the second time in Ligue 1 this season a game back, falling 2-0 to Reims. However, the French champions bounced back, winning 1-0 over Bordeaux in their most recent fixture. That was their eighth victory since the season began.

Galatasaray vs PSG head-to-head record

These two sides have met four times before over two two-legged encounters in the Champions League and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Their encounter in the latter competition came in 1996/97, with Les Parisiens losing 4-2 at Galatasaray before winning the return leg 4-0. In their second encounter, PSG would lose once again in Turkey, this time 1-0 before triumphing 2-0 in Paris.

Team news

The home side will be without Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina who will miss this tie due to a muscle injury. Steven N'Zonzi and Sofiane Feghouli are expected to start in midfield while PSG will face a familiar foe in attack in the form of Radamel Falcao, who called an end to his spell at Monaco in favor of a move to Turkey.

Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, will have to make do without a number of key players. Edinson Cavani, Julian Draxler, Colin Dagba and Thilo Kehrer are all injured while Neymar is suspended. This means Mbappe will likely start, having made a return from injury as a substitute in the win over Bordeaux, setting up Neymar for the winning goal.
