This will be the FOURTH meeting in one year between Germany and the Netherlands! Who will come out on top this time?

Preview: Germany vs Netherlands

Arguably, Germany and the Netherlands are two sides very familiar with each other and these two foes will lock horns once again as try to close the gap on Northern Ireland in Group C. It's important to note that although it seems like Northern Ireland have a shock lead over these two footballing giants, both Germany and the Netherlands have matches in hand and the table will certainly look a lot different once things even out and everyone has played all four games.

Germany's game in hand will be this upcoming encounter with the Oranje, and Joachim Low's men are eager to put behind a poor 2018 that saw them drop out of the top ten for the first time since 2005. Shockingly, they were dumped out of the 2018 World Cup by losing to Mexico and South Korea as well as in a friendly against Austria and overall won just four of their 16 games across all comps between October 2017 and this past March.

However, Germany have put that bad spell behind them as they have won their last three EURO 2020 qualifying games, including cruising to a 8-0 win over hapless minnows Estonia. The Netherlands, meanwhile, will want to regroup after their unfortunate defeat in the Nations League finals to a Portuguese side in excellent form.

The Oranje have two games in hand and will hope to avoid missing out on a third straight major tournament - having failed to feature at EURO 2016 and the 2018 World Cup. Certainly, they will be very familiar with this Germany side, having already played die Mannschaf three times since October 2018, with one win, one draw, and one loss being the result.

Team news: Germany vs Netherlands

Netherlands: No notable absences or suspensions for the Oranje ahead of this match.
