Italy, Armenia, Greece, and Finland will resume their battle to qualify for the upcoming EURO 2020 tournament. Who's in pole position to secure a spot at the big event next year?

Preview: Armenia vs Italy

Roberto Mancini's men have been in solid form so far, picking up four wins from their four matches and have conceded just one goal in those competitive fixtures. It's been a solid turnaround in 2019 after a disappointing showing during the Nations League in which they struggled to have much of an impact.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan arguably will be the go-to man for Armenia and after moving from Arsenal to Roma on loan earlier this week, will be looking to cause some issues for the same Italian defenders he will be facing in Serie A this season. Although Armenia have some ways to catch the top two, they come into this game on a two-game winning streak from June, having beaten minnows Liechtenstein and securing a hard-fought 3-2 win against Greece. Given that they're playing at home, they will certainly hope to cause as many issues for their visitors and perhaps even nick a point.

Stats and facts: Armenia vs Italy

Team news: Armenia vs Italy

For the Azzurri, one major absentee will be veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini, who suffered a knee injury in training for Juventus and now is set to miss about six months following surgery. With Chiellini sidelined, Leonardo Bonucci has been appointed the team's captain in his stead and that has opened the door to a call-up for young defender Luca Pellegrini, who plays his club football for Cagliari. Brescia youngster Sandro Tonali is another unfamiliar face who's been added to the team, but his teammate Mario Balotelli has been left out of the group despite having a long-standing working relationship with Mancini - who once did call up the enigmatic striker back in 2018.

Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne is another player who will miss this game due to injury as well as Juventus defender Mattia De Sciglio.
