Week 11 has us closer to the postseason than ever -- nine matches with high
Guadalajara will host two big matches: Tecos and Tigres will take the stage at the 3 de Marzo as UANL search for the top while Tecos try to stave off relegation. Speaking of which, Queretaro will face Guadalajara at the Estadio Omnilife.

Puebla and Necaxa will fight it out at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc on Sunday to make ends meet and hurt each other in the relegation race. Monterrey and América will meet at the Estadio Tecnologico. At the Estadio Azul, Cruz Azul and Toluca will be forced to repeat their 2009 final in which Toluca hung their tenth star on the rafters. Week 11 action is all set to go, and it's on LiveSoccerTV!

Tigres have not been able to beat Estudiantes at the 3 de Marzo since 2002. That drought might just end this Friday when the felines play for a top spot in the table against the Guadalajara university.

Mauro Cejas has been the top goal threat for the home team, and UAG's success usually beckons when the Argentinian is on target for José Luis Sánchez Sola's team. Ricardo Ferretti's defensive strategy will probably bend due to UAG not having two defensive stalwarts in their starting lineup.

Jorge Zamogilny and Juan Carlos Leaño remain out for Estudiantes Tecos. Tigres report themselves as completely fit with no suspensions affecting them towards the match in Guadalajara.

Cruz Azul's extremely high confidence after beating América in the Clasico Joven last Sunday at the Estadio Azteca was shot mid-week due to the loss against Monterrey in the CONCACAF Champions League that saw them go down 2-1 to the Cementeros.

Toluca saved their manager's job after beating Santos Laguna in what was another loss for their manager Diego Cocca, who has yet to win as Santos boss.

Martin Romagnoli might be out for the Diablos Rojos, as Santos Laguna asked for the midfielder to be suspended due to a harsh foul that was not called on the Argentinian.

Cruz Azul will get Hugo Droguett back, the Chilean midfielder had been out with a nagging injury. And young Martin Galvan is back as well, the U-20 starlet will be available to come off the bench for Enrique Meza's squad.

One of the biggest matchups of the weekend has defending champion Monterrey facing an América team reeling from their latest big loss to Cruz Azul at home.

The Eagles might be without star defender Aquivaldo Mosquera who sustained an injury in last week's derby match. Monterrey come off a mid-week victory over those same Cruz Azul players who beat América and will look to finish their run at the top Mexico City teams with a win over the Carlos Reinoso coached side.

Monterrey will have all of their players at their disposal which will mean Humberto Suazo is back in action for the Rayados, the Chilean striker missed three weeks of matches after the Clásico Regiomontano during which he sustained an arm injury that kept him out of circulation.

América manager Carlos Reinoso spoke about his rival in glowing terms, even going so far to say that he was "afraid" of Monterrey's impressive record and strike power.

The Diego Cocca era has been so terrible for Santos Laguna, that fans are calling for his sacking just a month after he took over for Ruben Omar Romano.

The Argentine manager has not been able to get a single win during his tenure, meaning that Santos Laguna will search for three points of pure oxygen against Morelia, who will hunt for the top of the table with a win against Cocca's pupils.

Santos Laguna will be without Fernando Arce, who will be out for the rest of the season due to a crunching injury. Uriel Alvarez and Jose Antonio Olvera are also doubtful, as they are nursing less severe injuries.

Also on the injury cart is Morelia defender Mauricio Romero, who is out for at least four months after a clash with a rival player during last week's game.

Two teams stacked with young talent will face off this weekend at the Estadio Omnilife, as Chivas de Guadalajara who are extremely rich in youth face off against Gallos Blancos de Querétaro.

Eder Borelli and Isaac Acuña, the two Gallos Blancos called up to the U-22 team by Mexico manager Jose Manuel de la Torre, scored last week and justified their call-ups.

Erick Torres scored and was bizarrely sent off after 13 minutes of play against Atlas, in a derby marred by controversy. He will be available to play, as the disciplinary commission cleared him of any wrongdoing. Xavier Baez and Jose Luis Real (manager) will, however, be suspended for Chivas.

Adding to the Rebaños bad news bin are injuries to Jorge Enriquez and Mexican-American Miguel Angel Ponce.

Following Kikin Fonseca's shocking return to form with a fantastic brace last weekend, the former Mexican international will get the start against a Jaguares team that will face its old sensei in Jose Guadalupe Cruz.

The Jaguares manager is fresh off a loss to Emelec in the Copa Libertadores which puts his continuance in the contest in jeopardy, as both teams vie for the second place spot within the group that they contest in the continental competition.

Jackson Martinez and Ismael Fuentes, two key foreigners for Jaguares, will be out due to injury. Atlante is minus striker Reimond Manco who was let go from the team after faking a kidnapping and arriving to training with a strong alcoholic scent that saw him get kicked off the squad.

Puebla and Necaxa will hook up at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in what will probably the lowest rated television broadcast of the season -- it shouldn't be so easily brushed aside though, as the match has implications in the race for relegation.

Necaxa were stuffed after going on a long winning streak under manager Sergio Bueno, while Puebla were trying to recoup the magic that new manager Hector Hugo Eugui had with Indios de Ciudad Juarez in 2009.

Eugui saved Indios from relegation in 2009, but was not able to do the same in 2010.

The Uruguayan coach is substituting Jose Luis Trejo, who was barely able to get to six points with the Camoteros. No injuries are reported by either squad, who will have their preferred 22 ready to go this Sunday.

Minus starting goalkeeper Miguel Calero, Pachuca will venture to the superlíder's home turf to face one of the toughest UNAM Pumas teams in years.

Martín Bravo and Dante Lopez have been key for Guillermo Vazquez's team, which currently sits at the very top of the table in Mexico.

Pachuca look down on a very small group of teams, and need to hurry up if they want to make the Clausura 2011 playoffs.

With just seven games remaining, the newly appointed Efrain Flores will need to gather at least 12 of the 21 points up for grabs to even think about a playoff spot.

Other than Calero, Flores will make use of a full squad that has severely underperformed this season - so much so that they are now on their second manager of the campaign, something that Pumas will not have to deal with in the foreseeable future as Vazquez has signed an extension with the university club.
