The Swedish ace did not hold back when speaking about his friend and former colleague in an interview with an English TV outlet.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is keen on speaking about his former teams, and this time, he did so by mentioning the fate of one of his most esteemed colleagues at Manchester United.

The Swedish ace shared his views on Paul Pogba's transfer away from Manchester United in the eve of the MLS All-Star Game. "Ibra", a good friend of Pogba while both played for the Red Devils, urged Manchester United to part ways with the midfielder, mainly because his personality might create a problem for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if he stays with the club despite his desire to leave.

"I think if he doesn't want to stay, it makes no sense to keep him. You don't want a player in your club or in your team that doesn't want to stay because then you know he will not give 100 or 200 per cent, or he does that and still doesn't want to stay," Ibrahimovic said.

The LA Galaxy striker, who is also represented by Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, ruled out any hard feelings between the French ace and his teammates, pinning it all on the club to solve.

"The dressing is more (about) the players' respect each other. They're professionals and understand each other's situation. Who worries more is the club and the management. It's a tricky situation and the best is what is the best for the club. That is what you have to look at," Ibrahimovic added.

Ibrahimovic agreed with legendary striker Teddy Sheringham on the course of action Manchester United should follow once Pogba ends up leaving.

"You have to use the situation and bring in somebody who wants to stay," Ibrahimovic concluded.
