The manager of the Catalans insists on the potential arrival of new players.

Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde has hinted at incomings at the club. The Spanish manager's side has done commendable business in this summer's transfer window with the club already welcoming the arrivals of Frenkie De Jong, Neto and Antoine Griezmann from Ajax and Atletico Madrid respectively. 

With the transfer window still in full swing for at least a month, Los Blaugrana are expected to add more players to their roster. The move which is expected to make waves is the purported reunion with former winger Neymar Jr although breathrough is yet to be made in negotiations with Barcelona.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the Camp Nou outfit had its sights set on the signing of Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo. The Spanish league winners reportedly had an intial bid of 18 million pounds rejected by Los Verdiblancos. However, on Thursday, a second bid in the excess of 24 million euros was submittted by Barca and is expected to be accepted by their league rivals. 

Amid the speculations, Ernesto Valverde has confirmed that indeed, a new player could be joining his set-up soon.

"It is possible that we bring someone on," he said as per MARCA.

"It's true that in that position [left-back] we had problems last season.

"We are open to signing players until the end of the market."

Barcelona is currently on tour in Japan and the Blaugranas will take on ex-skipper Andres Iniesta's Vissel Kobe on Saturday. The Camp Nou oufit kicks off its 2019/2020 league campaign on August 16 against Real Betis.
