The two Spanish football bodies are at loggerheads with regards to the released timetable.

Another war has broken out between the Spanish Football Association and La Liga Santander after the kick-off times for the first three matchdays of the 2019/2020 season were unveiled. In the release which has generated a new controversy between the two bodies, the former surprisingly has a number of fixtures slated for Friday and Monday.

Both the Spanish Football Association (RFEF) and LaLiga met on July 3 to renew their agreement for league football to roll out next. At the meeting, it was decided that the league's governing body will hold off with any discussions surrounding the timetable until the issue of games being played on Friday and Monday are resolved at another meeting scheduled for July 17th.

The standoff is due to the fact that the night matches during weekdays are tough for fans to attend, mostly those making trips to away grounds. As a result, there have been a host of fan campaigns asking for the alteration of the roster to curb this in other for the interest to revolve around matches played over the weekend.

However, on Friday, La Liga has seemingly gone ahead to plan and disclose the time of the first three matchdays against the authorization of the Spanish Football Association. According to Marca, the RFEF has expressed its displeasure with regards to the initiative taken by the league's governing body, and has stated that the games will not be sanctioned to be played on the said dates.

In effect, president of the Spanish Football Association Luis Rubiales has hit out on La Liga boss Javier Tebas.

"The RFEF DOES NOT AUTHORISE @LaLiga FRIDAYS (without agreement) or MONDAY," he wrote on Twitter.

"The Superior Council of Sports (CSD) meets with us on this on July 17 and Javier Tebas has blown up the meeting and won't give the time of day to football, fans and even the CSD.

"We continue the same: THERE WILL BE NO FOOTBALL ON MONDAY."
