Added to the massive honor of winning the coveted title, UEFA has revealed the benefits of playing in the top European club competition.

Whoever takes the UEFA Champions League trophy when the 2019-20 season comes to an end will have more than just the famous cup to brag about.

UEFA revealed the prize money set to be paid to all teams involved in the continental competition, which will add up to a massive €2.04bn.

Those unfortunate six teams that don't make it to the Group Stage of the competition will be handed a €5M($5.6M) fee. Winners of those ties will not be awarded any cash, since their financial benefit will come until the end of this stage of the competition.

Making it to the Group Stage will guarantee all teams involved the sum of €15.25M($17M), with €14.5M ($16.3M) being paid up front. Each team that makes it to the Round of 16 will be awarded €9.5M ($10.6M), and those that make it to the Quarter finals will add €10.5M($11.8M).

Those teams that manage to make it to the semis will earn an additional €12M ($13.5M), and finally, the two teams that battle for the cup will be awarded €15M ($16.8M) just for making it all the way. The winning team will earn an additional €4M ($4.5M).

So, both teams that make it to the final will earn at least €62.25M($70M) . The winner will take home €66.25M ($74.5M), but there is one more sweetener to take under consideration: each group stage win will be worth €2.7M ($3M), which means that any team that makes it to the final and wins all of their Group stage games will end up earning an extra €16.2M ($18.2M), which would raise the final tally to €82.45M ($92.47M).

All draws in the group stage of the UCL will award €900,000($1.012M) for both teams involved.

On top of all that, UEFA will share €585M($657M) between all 32 teams based on their 10-year coefficient ranking, which will reward teams for their previous UCL appearances in the last decade. The lowest-ranked team will earn an additional €1.108M($1.24M), while the highest-ranked will get €35.46M($39.8M) for this concept.

UEFA Europa League prize money

The second most important club competition in Europe will also splash cash to those involved, but the revenue money in this competition will not compare to the spoils set to be shared in the UEFA Champions League.

Each team that makes it to the Group Stage will be awarded €2.92M($3.28M), and making it to the next stage of the competition will guarantee all teams €500,000($562,000).

Teams making it to the Round of 16 will earn an additional €1.1M ($1.23M), while the last eight clubs will be handed €1.5M ($1.68M) each.

Semi-finalists will be awarded €2.4M ($2.7M) , and those who make it all the way will earn €4.5M ($5M). The winner of the competition will earn an additional €4M ($4.5M).
